The story behind this piece: I was originally inspired to make this design because at the time I was feeling a bit troubled. I had just finished a year of heavy duty art showing and I was ready to move onto the next thing, but I wasn't sure what that was. I was experimenting with meditative drawings and mandalas to help me find my focus. That led to a small group of ocean mandala paintings, and this was the first in the series. This painting jump started a new chapter in my life so I will always love this design.
