Last night I had the pleasure of speaking with Mike Langsner and Kristi Monticello about my new exciting project and all things art in Point Pleasant Beach.
Mike recently opened Haven’s Sweet Shop on Bay Ave in Point Pleasant Beach. Since then he has also started up the Point Pleasant Podcast.
Kristi is the vice chairperson of the Point Pleasant Beach Arts Committee. The committee is about two years old and their objective is to support the town through the arts. The host events, a juried show, support local artists, and support public art projects.
I won’t give you all of the juicy details because I highly suggest you listen but I will summarize. On the podcast we discuss my 100 day painting challenge, “100 Shore Things”. I explain my idea, motivation, and plan of action. We also talk about the role of the Point Beach Arts Committee in playing to support me and how we have teamed up to make this project a real celebration of the Jersey Shore. We also dive deep about all of the amazing work that the committee does to support local artists.
